Kids Growing Smarter and Smarter
My boy is a decade old and I have to admit he could be a enormous trouble maker. He makes up an excuse for any sort of trouble he is getting into and he knows exactly what to do to get out of these eventualities. I often find myself dazzled at his ingenuity in creating stories and plans to get out of trouble. I only hope he uses these talents for good when he grows up.
I recall one day where it was announced that some periodical tests were being administered at school. Instead of studying for the test, my child instead did what he loved best, which was play cricket the entire week even though the tests were being administered the very following monday. I pleaded him to take a break in order to study, but he lie to me and related the tests were being pushed back another month or so. I never heard about tests being pushed back for such a long period of time but I gave my son the benefit of the doubt. I wish I knew better. My son hatched one of his evil stories again.
Well the following three weeks went by and I had since accepted his lie. However, as we finished the end of the month I made a decision to remind him again that he should be studying because the pushed back tests were coming up again and he wanted to do well.
