The video game store was a little bit on the busy side, but Chris did not mind that because it would hide his nervousness. However, he knew that if he was going to have any success he would have to ask the big question of Kim. Then if she said yes they could finally go out and start to enjoy himself more than what he thought possible.
He was getting ready to leave the store that he was in while working up the courage before heading in for the day. However, he wanted to make sure that he had the nerve up before leaving. He mulled that over for a second and decided that he would get the game now since he could always sell it later on. The problem was that left him with only a couple of hundred bucks and he wanted to impress Kim as much as possible. However, he knew that this would be possible if she would say yes to him later on in the day.
As he headed into the office he looked over and could see that Kim was at her desk. He decided that he would head over to her desk before he went anywhere else. He knew that it would be the best time to ask her before she was swamped with work and before the other guys in the office walked over to her.
Thankfully when he looked around the rest of the office he could see that no one else was present yet. He asked if he could sit down at the chair that was next to her. Then after he sat down he asked if she had any plans for the weekend and heard the reply he hoped to hear that she did not have anything planned. That was when he took a deep breath and decided to see if she wanted to go to peninsula plaza with him or not.

When they returned to work that Monday Kim walked up to him and asked him if he had time to do a lunch date later on that week with her. He smiled knowing that it was going to work out and he did not realize how right he was until a couple of months later when they got married.
