Haircut, Hairstyle And Hair Color
Hair is a real treasure we should learn to value. Beautiful hair could make anyone much more beautiful. However, we often underestimate the effect our hair has on the way we look. It happens all the time that extensive chemical treatments remove the natural oils and vitamins from the hair. We do want our hair to look better with highlights, new hair color or with straight hair styles. However, these procedures can damage our hair and make it look unhealthy and dull. Therefore, special treatment is required to retain the natural beauty of your hair. There is something everyone should think about: what could be more beautiful than wearing natural hair styles? These styles are the ones that enhance the natural beauty of your hair the most.
There is a wide range of natural black hair styles that get less or more popular from year to year. Medium and short comb coils, twisted or short braids, long curly locks, hair knots and many more others. You could always choose something that is up to you.
If you want to be able to wear some of these hair styles, you have to make sure your hair is healthy and beautiful. And healthy hair could be achieved by proper hair care. Your hair could be very beautiful in its natural state. However, it might not be this way if you do not treat it in a proper manner. Black hair and black curly hair in particular is often very hard to work with. It requires delicate attitude. And if such a hair does not want to cooperate, styling could turn into a complete disaster.
Try to make your hair healthier by getting on a healthy diet. Drinking plenty of water will also be beneficial for your hair as it should stay hydrated. If you want your hair to grow and remain beautiful, you should provide al vital vitamins and proteins to it.
Hair stylists recommend to use hydrating shampoos along with conditioners as well. These hair products help to keep moisture within the hair.
Another important thing is to avoid hair styles that are harmful to your hair. Great tension is of no good to your hair. This often leads to hair damages and makes your hair easily broken. It is also recommended to avoid hair accessories that may damage your hair. It is always better to choose softer ones without sharp edges.
If you want your hair to remain healthy, do not expose it to the sun and strong wind. Hair products with UV protection should be used along with hats to keep your hair beautiful during summer season.
These tips are essential to preserve the beauty of your black hair. And as soon as it is healthy, you could go for any hair style you like.

Singing the bad haircut blues!
The dreaded bad hair cut goes way beyond a bad hair day and if it hasn’t happened to you already, sooner or later it most probably will!
You can straighten a perm, curl sleek hair and you can dye over a disastrous colour but until your hair grows a few centimetres more, there’s no escaping a bad hair cut.
So… what do you do if a confidence-sapping hair cut befalls you? First of all you need to tell your stylist. Chances are that you’ll not realise it’s been poorly cut until you’ve reached home and have had a chance to ‘play’ with it. If you’re really not happy and feel that remedial measures need to be taken, give your stylist a call and explain why you’re dissatisfied and discuss the possibility of another appointment to try to correct what is possible.
If the hair-dresser is one that is new to you, you may want to ask her to fix the cut as best she can & perhaps make a note not to return. However, when this happened to me a few years ago, I changed salon altogether, because I just could not trust my hair to that ‘Edward Scissorhands’ hairdresser again! If the blunder was the work of your regular, tried and tested stylist however, it’s often better to forgive and forget and allow them to make amends.
Following a bad hair cut you may be depressed by how slowly your hair actually grows - half a millimetre a day (15cm a year) seems to be about the average. It may grow faster or slower depending on your age, genetics and your hormonal state (pregnancy seems to have an affect on hair for example).
However, don’t despair…. it shouldn’t take too long for your hair to grow to a stage where the cut appears more acceptable and soon enough you’ll be booking another appointment and restoring some normality to your locks.
In the meantime, there are solutions less drastic than a wig or a hat to help you through:-
- Try adding some body to straight hair with Velcro rollers or a curling iron. Adding some waves and curls will help disguise any cuts that are too blunt.
- If your hair is wavy or kinky, straighten it out while blow drying to give it some length.
- If you hair’s long enough, pull it back and leave a few strands around your face to give the illusion of longer hair. At sites like Hair Updos Image Library you’ll find the best hair updo images so you can find the perfect ‘remedy’ style for you.
- Use hair accessories such as clips, barrettes, pins and butterfly combs to pull back your hair in problem areas.
- Headbands - thankfully - also come in so many styles, from beaded to crocheted that you’re bound to find one you like. Headbands are great at holding back a badly cut fringe. If your fringe is too short, blow dry it straight down and sweep it to the side. Then secure with a hair clip or bobby pin.
- You can find clip on synthetic hair extensions such as plaits and straight hair pieces in department and discount stores everywhere.
- Pull your hair back and clip on a pony tail and for a while you’ll forget all about your hair problems. Maybe!
