So they big day is fast approaching and it is only natural that you will be starting to get a little bit nervous - that is until you actually look at your calendar and realise that you still have 6 months left to get your planning done.

It’s not uncommon for the bride to start planning their wedding 6 months in advance.  Others may plan their special day years in advance, with some women having thought about their wedding day since they were very little!  However far in advance you do or don’t plan everyone will have their own ideas when it comes to choosing a wedding dress.  The more time you have to plan your wedding, the more unique wedding dress ideas you will be able to think of.  This is why so many women like to try and plan as far ahead as possible.

Of course every bride will want to be different and have a wedding dress that is unique to them.  A good starting point is to read through as many wedding magazines and photo albums as possible so that you can see what styles commonly occur.  This will help you to avoid what everyone else is doing.

Once you have settled on a particular style of dress you will need to appropriate shoes, wedding jewellery and accessories to go with it.  Again, your choice of shoes will be down to your particular tastes although you will have to take into account the practical aspects of the shoes into account.  For example, if you have a long flowing dress made from a particularly delicate material then you may decide against wearing high heels on the off chance you accidentally catch them on the fabric and cause a tear.  When it comes down to wedding jewellery and accessories you really are spoilt for choice.  There are a number of online retailers who will be able to offer you a wide range of different accessories from some top designers.  The only thing restricting your choice of jewellery will be your budget; however you will be able to find some beautiful pieces at a price you can afford.

The key to planning your wedding your dress is simply to plan ahead.  The more time you give yourself to organise your thought the more chance you will have of getting the beautiful wedding dress that you deserve.  You also have the benefit of giving yourself additional time in the event that things don’t go according to plan and you need to think of an alterative idea at the last minute.  Whatever dress you choose, make sure that your wedding day is an occasion to remember.
