What Are Some New Birthday Invitation Ideas
Right now the trend in invitations design seems to be quotations, flowers and other sentimental designs. However, cartoon character designs will always be popular. Now, these printed cards are still in fashion, but moms are looking for more ways to make the birthday invitations for their kids’ birthdays more elegant. For example, you can engrave the lettering like the wedding invitations you often see. If you already have the creative muscles for a project like this, good for you.
People are not likely to throw away your invitations if they look good. These are kept as memorabilia because of the elegant design. Instead of throwing these invitations, they can choose to frame them. Don’t be surprised if you visit a friend’s house and see your birthday invitation inside a frame. A well designed invitation can do much more than a plain one.
There’s a good romantic idea for invitations, the ‘message in a bottle’. In a nutshell, it’s a bottle with a cork stopper and your rolled up invitation inside. You will also need ribbons for prettifying the bottles with the invitation message inside. Parchment paper is good for this project. This is great if you have a pirate theme for your party.
If you don’t have much time, you can simply print several photo images of yourself the size of post cards and send these as invitations. Then when the guest opens the envelop, your photo is there smiling up at him and inviting him to go to a party.
All concepts herein are applicable for kids and adult parties. Just modify the design a bit. For instance, you can choose popular cartoons as a theme for kids parties.
These are just a few of the ideas one can come up with for a birthday party invite. Just remember to add the date of the party and the venue. Treat your invites as pre-party favors. Don’t forget to play with different types of invitations and colors if you’re deciding on a design for your birthday invitations.
