Use Green Tea to Improve Your Skin’s Health
Green tea is so good for you. It is true. A researcher recently did a study that involved exposing hundreds of minnows to highly radioactive substances. They all should have gotten cancer and died within days. However, they survived instead. How did they stay alive? Instead of water in their tank, they had green tea.
Now, you may not like the idea of bombarding cute little minnows with x-rays. Probably not many people do. However, you have to like the results. Information like this makes me want to fill the bath tub with green tea or maybe drink a gallon a day.
People are now understanding the healing and restoration powers of green tea. Resulting in more and more products containing green tea are out now. You can get candies, sodas and even coffee with green tea infusions. Plus there are so many other products containing green tea blends that are available for consumption.
But, in spite of all the craze over green tea, there is one area that hasn’t caught on. Skin care. There are a lot of rumors, but very few manufacturers taking action. What consumers do not realize is that the same things that make green tea great for your body and inner organs also make it an ideal for your largest organ: your skin.
There are tons of antioxidants in green tea. When you drink it, the antioxidants will do many things, like boosting your immune system. However, when you rub it on your face, those anti-oxidants immediately start defending your exterior as well.
Anti-oxidants are great for the skin. For instance, they stave off free radicals. These highly charged molecules are in the air and can potentially cause wrinkles in your skin. At times, they will cause so much damage to the skin cells that they will become cancerous.
Using green tea skin care can do much more than that. When green tea extracts are used in your natural skin care regimen, they will revitalize your skin. When you use natural skin care products containing green tea extracts, you can actually reduce the damage done to your skin. You will be doing yourself a favor by adding a green tea product to your skincare regimen. No matter what product you choose that contains green tea, you will be very happy that you made it a priority in your daily skin care.
