Eye Makeup Tips for Big Eyes Using Everyday Makeup
Often eye makeup tips put too heavy a focus on glamour. I know, hard to imagine. Is it really possible to be too glamorous? But sometimes with eye makeup, less is more. You simply cannot go around with that incredibly detailed “smoky eye” club look when you are at work. Or, you probably shouldn’t.
However, this does not mean that your eye makeup has to be boring. You can get many of the same effects with less makeup for everyday wear. In fact these looks can save you major minutes. This tip let me cut more than 6 minutes off my eye makeup application time.
Generally people use eye makeup to accentuate their eyes. The best way to accomplish this is to make them look bigger. If you do not want “made up” eyes then this eye makeup tip will help you.
You will need a dark eye shadow like brown and a lighter, golden one. The shades of eye makeup should complement your skin tones. They should be reflective, but definitely not glittery. This look tends to work well with products like Loreal’s “Wear Infinite” Holographic line.
1. Extend the light eye shadow up to your brow. This will give you a smooth skin tone and brighten your eye area.
2. Make a smudgy line using the darker eye shadow in the crease of your eye. You are drawing a thick semi-circle over your eye. When your eyes are open the darker shade will widen and brighten them.
Now you’re all done. You can enjoy your new, bright and doe-eyed look. You can also dress this look up by using a purple shade for the semi circle and white, silver or pink for the background. You might also try different tones on the lid below the semi circle. Bright lines of color along the eyelid will make your look pop even more. Use these eye makeup tips to cut prep time.
